He took the pen from the Customer Service Representative. The pen felt so heavy.
She was standing right next to him. She signed the forms and filled up the required blank spaces.
The Customer Service Representative was saying something, but he couldn’t hear a single word. The people around the area were talking, but he couldn’t hear a single thing.
He looked at the form, where there was a small cross signed marked.
He turned his head and looked at her. She was busy doing her thing.
He looked at the form again.
His mind was racing. He felt the weight of the pen in his hand, and the pen was so heavy that he couldn’t muster enough strength to lift it up.
Sir? Can you please sign here?
She pointed at the underlined space with a cross mark.
He inhaled deeply, and mustered all his strength to lift up the pen, and signed on the underlined spot with the cross mark.
His heart tightened more and more until he couldn’t breath. His eyes blurred. His mind was racing. That place, filled with more than 40 people, became as quiet as an abyss.

He put the pen down, and at the same time, he felt that his heart was falling from his chest to a dark place far below.

He asked the Customer Service Representative.

She smiled.
He looked at the form again, and sighed.
He has moved out. She has cleaned up the apartment, filling up his side of the closet with her clothes, changing all the furniture, replacing all the cooking utensils, and the only ties they had in common was the phone line. She was using his mobile phone supplementary line.
