He packed some clothes, and he took some of his daily essentials, and he moved to the office.

After two days, she didn’t call him to ask him to move back. He took the hint and he went back to his home. He packed up all his clothes, all his belongings, and loaded them into his car.

On his way out, she was standing at the door.

What are you doing?

He didn’t answer her. He continued taking his stuff.

She walked to the apartment, opened the door, slammed the door, and locked it.

He moved all his stuff into his office, hiding them because he didn’t want anyone to find out. He wanted to keep whatever dignity he has left.

At night, he turned on the tap to fill up the bucket. Then he squatted right there, in the office toilet, to take a shower. Sometimes when it rained, he boiled one kettle of water and filled the bucket.

At night, he used the small pillow that he took from his home, his home sweet home, and tried to sleep on the floor. The carpet was hard, the room was cold, and if he turned off the air-conditoner, it would be too warm. Then, there were a lot of mosquitoes. So most often than not, he gave up sleeping.

He continued to work through the night, and when he got too tired, he would just take a nap while sitting on his chair.

He had experienced mental exhaustion and depression because he couldn’t sleep. He had experienced body ache because the floor was too hard, and sleeping in a sitting position has worsened his back problems.

Sometimes, she would send a message to him asking him to take the spare blanket.

He refused.

He thought that if she really cared, she would not offer the spare blanket but to take him back, back to his home, back to where he belong.
