Actually.. Father, I want to look for a job.

The phone line went quiet for a few seconds.

No. All you got to do is just concentrate on your studies. Don’t do stupid things like distracting yourself with part-time job.

But Father, this is a lab job, so I can actually gain useful experience.

I said NO and that’s the final answer. It is not like I cannot afford your tuition fee. I am spending so much for your tuition so you better focus 100% on your studies and nothing else.

The phone line went dead.

I know. But why? I just wanted to help and I can gain useful experience for my studies. It will really help.

Do you know that your Father has been working since he was 6 years old? He has been doing part-time job ever since the first day he went to school. He didn’t have the luxury to concentrate fully on his studies so he doesn’t want you to go through what he went through.
