Lost Passport

During my recent Singapore trip for part vacation and work, I lost my passport.

Well, technically, I didn’t lose my passport, but I gave my passport to Y (my new girlfriend), and she lost both of our passport. Don’t ask us how we lost it, because if we had knew, we would not have lost it in the first place.

But I am going to write about how we dealt with the situation so that next time if you (touch wood) ever lose your passport in Singapore, you would know what to do.

Police Station is the first place you need to go. Bring along your Malaysia Identification Card and as many travel document as you can, and make an official police report at any one of the friendly Singapore Police Station (Yes, they are friendly, and we had some fun there when we were making the report).

The next stop would be the Singapore Immigration & Checkpoint Authority (ICA) Building (near Lavender MRT station), and you should go there as early as possible since that place can be crowded. Go to the 5th Floor, and go to the small kiosk to take pictures (it will give you 4 pictures, keep them as they will come in handy later, and check the price. Some floors offer cheaper price), and you will need to bring along the following:
- Malaysian Identification Card
- Photo (2 copies)
- Police report

When your number comes on the LED screen outside the room, you will need to be interviewed and then the officer will give you a form to fill up. Fill up all the column and if you are not sure, go ask the officer later. After that is done, you wait outside to be called as the officer will pass you some official documents (not sure what its called. Maybe its Singapore ICA Travel Document or something).

Once that’s done, your next stop would be the Malaysia High Commission located at 301 Jervois Road. You can take the MRT, stop at the Red Hill MRT Station, take a bus (from the same side of the road along the MRT station), and once you see 2 petrol stations, get off the bus and walk into Jervois Road. Now, be careful to avoid their break time (from 12noon to 2pm), and if possible, go as early as possible.

At the Malaysia High Commission, you will need the following:
- Photo (2 copies)
- 2 copies of police reports, ICA papers, and everything else.
- SGD 22 fee for issuing the temporary passport (You will need cash for that as they don’t take credit card or cheque. SHOW ME THE MONEY!!!!)

You will need to fill up some forms as well, and try not to laugh when you are filling up the form, which was something I failed miserably because some of the columns ask some really funny questions, which I don’t even know how to answer them. But it is a pretty long form and once you completed the form, you submit to the officer.

Then you wait. Yes, you wait and wait, and be prepared that you might not bump into some friendly officer as we had some bad experience there when we were trying to get our hands on the temporary passports.

DSC02466

Once that’s done, don’t assume that you can come back to Malaysia straight. You will still need to go to the Singapore Immigration & Checkpoint Authority (ICA) again for the Singapore Immigration to double check and issuance of entry pass (meaning that you went into Singapore legally).

After that, you are free to go back to Malaysian within 3 days from the date, but expect some delay at the custom checkpoint in Singapore as they asked us to go to the custom office to verify the data and whatnot.

Anyway, I would like to take this opportunity to thank our friends and colleagues for giving us a hand during the time of need as we were completely stuck in Singapore. Malaysia was just a stone throw away yet it felt so far away when we lost our passports, and our friends and colleagues were kind enough to take us to places, helping us out and company us.

Thank you, and you know who you are :)

Short Vacation

During the weekend, I went to Penang on a short break with her. Nothing fancy, just a weekend get-away from the crowded KL city lifestyle to relax and recover. So on Sunday morning, I picked her up from her house and then we went off to our 4 hours journey (actually it took us longer than that because we stopped by Ipoh for the fantastic food and also I was not in a hurry so I was driving pretty slow).

During the trip, we talked, and we talked. It’s about revealing our stories, our sadness, our happiness, our dreams, our hopes, our future, and many more. We could spend hours talking but it felt like there wasn’t enough time to talk about everything. We talked and showed our love towards our dogs, our dislike about people in general, and we found out that we have a lot in common. Sometimes it’s like we could see ourselves in the mirror when we look at each other, and a lot of times we can finish each other’s sentences.

We walked on Gurney Drive (the road along Gurney beach), enjoying the sea breeze (spoiled by the smelly trash that people threw), holding hands, walking leisurely, and talking. I told her many of the difficult times I went through, how I got my depression, and how I overcame this illness of mine. She told me about her stories, and I was touched by her stories.

No one is perfect, and all of us made our mistakes. I certainly knew I did a fair share of mine, and I was sad to hear the mistakes that she has made. How I wish I am a kick ass-vampire (immune to daylight, knows the secret that rice tastes better than blood ) or a kick-butt Aeon-Flux (cat-like assassin, engage in guilt free sex as hobby, orgasms every time, recovers and dresses up in 2 nanosecond). But that’s just fantasy and it will remain that way.

Then we went to Queensbay Mall, and we just walked leisurely, checking out the items, window shopping (well, its not like KL do not have the things they sold there, but its just some time together). She checked out the many outlets while I was waiting, and she waited for me while I was checking out the things that interest me.

After that, we explored the city, and stopped when we saw a street filled with hawkers. We walked around, spotted some famous Penang food, and we found a table to immerse ourselves into the great Penang food. The “Char Kway Teow” (fried stick noodle) is extremely good and not even a single store in KL/PJ is comparable to the one we took.

At night, we went back to hotel to rest. Rest we did, and we woke up early in the morning to continue exploring the Penang island. We talked, we laughed at our jokes, and we just happy to be able to spend time together. But the trip wasn’t perfect because our beloved four-legged sons were not with us.

In the afternoon, we packed and left Penang island, coming back to the crowded KL.

We had a great time.

Guide to Backpacking

Previously, I wrote that I will be writing about the guide to backpacking here. So here it is.

Backpacking is not for the faint hearted. A lot of times you will face difficulties in accomodation, hygine problems, food, or even the people. Imagine that you don’t bring lots of money so you cannot afford a hotel, so what will you do?

This guide is derived from the experience that I have gathered during my college years when I was backpacking to Europe. If you decide to backpack as the mean of travel, I hope this guide will give you some insight and help you prepare.

Backpack
Thinking of using a stroll luggage? Forget about it. Sometimes you will have to go through some rough terrain, so how are you going to carry it? So first thing first, get yourself a sturdy water-proof backpack with a lot of compartments for small items.

Water Botter
Stop going to 7-11 to buy some plastic mineral bottle. Invest in some metal type so that it will be long lasting. And why water bottle? Well, let’s just say sometimes you will get to walk a long distance and you will get dehydrated. Of course, if you have the money to constantly buying water, then go ahead. But for backpackers, a good water bottle is essential, so you can fill up the bottle, drink it, and refill to continue your journey.

Clothes
Bring a few changing clothes, underwears, and socks. Make sure you bring the right clothing for the right weather. If you bring only t-shirts while going to Europe in winter, you will be dead before you can hit the street from the airport. You don’t need a lot of changing clothes, because most often than not, you will need to wash these clothes yourself, and if you bring a lot, your backpack will be heavy and that will slow you down a lot, making your journey more difficult to continue. Usually, I bring 4 T-shirts, 4 underwear, 3 socks, and 1 extra jeans. That’s about it. And be honest, sometimes I have to wear the underwear for few days.

Sleeping Bag
Well, travel on a tight budget means you cannot afford hotels. If you are lucky, the place will have YMCA lodging place that is around EURO 5 per night. If not, you will be sleeping in a bus station or somewhere, so it is important that you have a nice sleeping bag to protect yourself from the wind and dust.

Tools
Swiss army knife, pepper spray, sewing kit, and simple First Aid Kit. Yup, you don’t have to bring those, but I brought them because sometimes things could happen, and luckily I brought my sewing kit, otherwise I would be exposing my ass (story was that I tore my jeans because it got hooked onto a sharp edge) throughout my whole journey. I had a few cuts and bruises, and luckily my small first aid kit pouch got antiseptic creams and plasters. You don’t want to get wound infection whenyou are abroad, trust me on that. Check with the flight regulations to make sure you don’t bring something illegal. (Do you know that pepper spray is illegal in China?)

Courage
Going to a new place is not something easy. But going there alone, not knowing anyone, is something that requires courage. You need to have the courage to face the loneliness, the new place, and venture out to explore the place. So yes, please work up the courage.

Knowledge
Knowledge is priceless. So before you go, google that country or place to find more information. Some place do not offer free map, so make sure you print some, or buy some maps from your local store. Normally, trying to save money, I will print them out from the internet, fold it in my journal, and head off. If the local offers free maps, the first thing I did when I reached there was to grab 2 copies of the map. It happened to me before that the one and only map I got was wet and tore a part later by the strong wind, and I didn’t have the backup map. So get 2 copies.

Common Sense
Yup, common sense is important. Common sense such as don’t put your passport in your backpack and buy a holder that you can keep with you all the time. Common sense such as you are a foreigner and when something is not right, walk away because you don’t want to get into troubles with the locals. Common sense such as be alert and watch out for yourself, your own safety, is important. The truth is, if you are killed in a foreign country, no one will know you and no one will care. So its important to use your brain and think.

Survival
I travelled in budget, so this might not be applicable to you, but recommended. When I was in Europe, I didn’t have much money, so I asked around if I could work part-time, especially in Chinese restaurants or some hispanic restaurants (they normally don’t really care about rules and regulations on hiring foreigners with no working permit), earn that few Euros and best of all, sometimes they provide free meal as well. That actually lower down my costs and best of all, I got to experience different culture to the core level.

Health
A lot of people ignore this, but it is important that you start to eat healthy, exercise regulary months before you backpack. You don’t want to get sick when you reach there, so keeping your body fit and your health good is essential. Besides, you will need the stamina to walk for hours every day, so get your ass off the couch and start doing the exercise and eat healthily!

This is not a complete list. When I got more time, I will update this guide more often, and later I will add some links about travel information. So check back often to get the updated list. And if you have something that you want to share, feel free to rip the comment page apart.

The Summary of Chinese New Year

I just got back from hometown so I decided to write a summary for the Chinese New Year for year 2008.

For years, Chinese New Year is nothing but a holiday for me. It is a time to reunite with family members and to get away from work. Normally it would be impossible for me to shutdown my brain completely because work and life issues would always bug me. But during Chinese New Years, with almost a week of break, I could shutdown and not think of anything.

This year, we took our reunion meal during lunch time because both my sisters are married so they have to go back to their husbands home for reunion dinner. After that, mom and I took dinner in a quiet setting and we talked about many things.

I don’t subscribe to any newspaper, but my family does. They subscribe to Sin Chew (the major Chinese newspaper in Malaysia) and some others. So it was time for me to flip through the news and see what is happening.

First of all, the political scene is a joke, and I don’t want to waste my time to talk about it. And then, everyday, and I mean EVERYDAY, there was some kind of news related to Edison, Cecilia Cheung, Bobo, Gillian sex/naked/nude pictures [I wrote about it here]. I mean, come on! Don’t these reporters have something better to do? After talking to a friend whom just came back from Hong Kong, she said Edison’s leaked pictures is the biggest news in Hong Kong right now, and all the major newspaper, news station, radio stations, tabloids, online forum and etc are all talking about this. I mean, it is nothing wrong to report about a case like this, but doing so for weeks is just too much. Besides, I don’t find those pictures any special.

After that, it was time for us to go to temple to do our “first joss stick“. I am a free thinker, and I don’t actually belong to the Buddhist group. But the Chinese tradition is like that and my mom wanted me to do it, so I did. It was actually mean that the joss stick that we provide to the All Mighty will be the first joss stick of the year.

Then I went off to meet up with friends for drinks and some gambling. It was a good time because first of all, I don’t get to see my hometown friends very often since I am always in KL area and I don’t go back that often. Secondly, it was serious drinking and we drank like a lot (7 of us drank 20 jugs of beer). Thirdly, I don’t gamble except during Chinese New Year so it’s time to brush up the skill and stuff.

Then on the first day of Chinese New Year, I stayed at home with my mom until late at night. At night I went out to meet with friends, drank a lot of alcoholic beverage, gambled a bit, and then all of us went to the cinema to watch Rambo 4. I will write a review for Rambo 4 when I got the time. But in short, if you got time to waste, go watch it. If not, go do something more constructive.

After the movie, we went to friend’s house to drink again and gamble. It was fun.

The 2nd day, it was time to go back to the OLD HOUSE (my grandparent’s house). It was so boring that I just sat there, did nothing, and smiled whenever someone was talking to me. I saw a lot of young cousins and stuff, and I was surprised to find that they were already working. I thought they were still schooling, but apparently one of them is 28, another one is 25, and I didn’t know! What a failure cousin I am. But I don’t give a heck, actually.

So on the 2nd day of Chinese New Year, I bored myself to death with those relatives and then I quickly ran back home to rest. At night, I went out again for drinking session and some gambling. We were just gathering, laughed, joked, and drank until we ran out of beer. Then we went out to the provision shop to buy more beer.

3rd day, it was Do Nothing Day again. My brother-in-law started a poker game and all the family members joined in. Everyone won a bit except my brother-in-law, but most importantl all of us got a good laugh. At night, I went out again to meet up with friends, and this time they took me to a new place.

This place is dark, music loud, and lots of beer available. When I first went it, I almost bang my head on the wall because it was really dark. And then, suddenly, out of no where, there were a bunch of chicks came to our table and one of them just sat on my lap. I was like “WTF???” and I looked at my friends. They didn’t see me because they were enjoying and focusing on groping the girls and stuff.

I sighed. I went to the wrong place. The girl sat on my lap kept groping me and stuff, and asked me if I wanna go “upstairs” for extra service. I told her NO, and she quickly stood up and asked for her tips. I gave her, and she ran to another table. Apparently I don’t worth her time so she decided to try other customers. But within 5 minutes, another girl jumped onto my lap again and I had to pay her tips. I was pissed. For those who know the kind of person I am, I don’t go to these places for paid sex. But my friends enjoyed it so I just waited for them there.

I don’t recall much about the 4th day or the 5th because I stayed at home most of the time, except at night I went to meet with friends and drank until pissed drunk.

I came back to KL on the 5th day afternoon. It was really hot and the traffic on the North-South highway was really bad. Here are some pictures and they can tell a better story than me…

Bus in Gutter
A coach was in the gutter (the red one)

The Line
The traffic on the so-called Highway. Look closely at the line upfront…

Fluffy Watching the Traffic
Fluffy watching the traffic jam on the highway

Fluffy Tired and Enjoying the Air-Cond
Fluffy got tired of the traffic jam and started to enjoy the air-conditioner

Fluffy Hot and Tired
The weather was really hot and Fluffy was very uncomfortable and tired

Summary: Drank a lot of alcoholic beverages. Ate a lot of food. Slept a lot. Weather was really hot.

My Christmas Plan

You know, for all these years that Maria and I together, we had never celebrated Christmas together, not even once. She would always go back to Singapore to spend the time with her family. This year she will definitely go back as her family is moving away after Christmas. So there goes the Christmas celebration.

Me? Well, my family is a traditional Chinese family so we do not celebrate Christmas. The only festive seasons that we do celebrate are Chinese New Year, Hungry Ghost Festival and Moon Cake Festival. Yup, that’s about it.

This year it won’t be much different. Hell, actually this year it is worse than any other years and my Christmas was pretty much fucked up since 3 weeks ago. I will not elaborate more on this, so let’s just keep it that way.

So what’s my plan for Christmas?

Well, BIG PLAN!!! I intend to booze myself up and down, inside and out. So the best place is Langkawi, with plenty of cheap booze around. I intend to just sit on the beach and down 3 bottles of Chivas. Yeah, I will pass out, and most probably just sleep on the beach until I get serious sun burn in the morning and my skin peels off like a snake. But guess what? I DO NOT GIVE A FUCK! I just want to get drunk, very very drunk. Hell, I will use those IV drip to drip down one bottle of Absolut Vodka into my blood even if I am already passed out, if I can.

Do I really care about the consequences? You can bet your cute bouncy tight ass that I don’t give a fuck. (Yeah, all my readers have nice ass, and its a compliment, so don’t argue with me!)

Yeah, that’s the desire level of mine on how much I want to get drunk. Overdosed with alcohol? Yeah babeh! BRING IT ON!!! The more the merrier! Now that’s the merry part for the fucking Merry Christmas.

Just in case you are not clear, I fucking hate Christmas. Yup, people are being joyful and merry, but I just fucking hate Christmas. In fact, this year’s Christmas is all the way on top of the Most Hateful Things list. I hate it doesn’t mean I have to spoil it for other people, that’s why I want to do this alone. Yes, so just fucking leave me alone.

For those who are celebrating, well, I do wish that you enjoy your Christmas. For me, I will enjoy my Christmas Booze.

Merry Fucking Christmas!

Now where is my booze. Found it! Absolut Vodka, I love you!

Yay!

Cameron Highland

On Saturday, I went to Cameron Highland with a friend/colleague/partner and his daughter, along with 2 more of his friends. After we met up at the Curve, we set off to the North-South highway off from Kota Damansara.

The trip on the North-South Highway is nothing to shout about, but while going up to Cameron Highland, there was an accident involving a Proton Wira with a bus. We saw one guy squatting on the roadsi de, his face covered with blood. And then the driver was still inside the car, and he was pinned by the steering wheel. We didn’t think the driver made it. And then there was another passenger at the bank, a lady, and she was just sitting there, face covered with blood as well. We couldn’t draw a conclusion if she was okay or not.

Anyway, right after the accident, all the vehicles going uphill slowed to a conscious rate, and I mean, it was really slow, like snail having steamy sex. So when I see some opening with great amount of safety to overtake, I gunned the 520i and overtook those boring MPVs. Cautious to anyone attempting that; the 520i is a bit underpower as the car body is HEAVY and the engine capacity is not big enough to provide the grunt to perform like a sports saloon.

At the Cameron Highland, I met a few friends and they just happened to visit Cameron Highland. I guess the Visit Malaysia 2007 has really kicked off.

We stayed until 12am, and we took the new route to Ipoh for the famous Low Wong Tauge chicken rice (roughly translate to Old Wong Bean sprout Chicken Rice). By the time we were done, it was 2am, and both of us were getting really tired and sleepy.

Turning off to the highway, I saw a big opening on the North-South Highway with little traffic, so again I gunned the 520i and before I knew it, we were going at 220kmh (roughly 136miles per hour). I slowed down a few times because of some really slow traffic and some big ass buses and trucks were trying to overtake another slow-ass bus/truck.

While driving, I talked to my friend to keep myself awake, and at one time there was no response from him, and I knew he was asleep. Well, both of us were tired so I let him sleep. After not more than 10 minutes, he was talking to me and I said, “Eh? I thought you were sleeping?” and which he replied, “The Malaysian highway is so bumpy, how to sleep?”

So I continued talking a bit, and then I heard some loud snore from the passenger side. Blardy hell, and he claimed it was difficult to sleep. So I drove all the way back from Ipoh and I was the only one awake. It was such a lonely journey.

But I managed to cut the normal travel time from 2 hours to 1 hour and 15 minutes.

back from vacation

Yup, I am back from vacation, a much needed break from everything. Prior to this trip, we had a hard time deciding which place to visit. We were planning for Phuket, and also looking into other places. Then we thought, “hey, this is Visit Malaysia Year 2007, so why not explore Malaysia?”

Location: Cherating, Kuantan
Duration: 3 Days 2 Nights
Companion: Girlfriend

Cherating is located in Pahang, not too far away from Kuantan, the capital of Pahang. It is about 3.5 hours drive away from Kuala Lumpur.

For us, it was like an eating trip. From the moment we set off from Kuala Lumpur, we stopped at any chance at petrol stations, rest areas or general areas with hawkers to buy something to eat, be it tidbits, fruits, chewing gums, or anything that we can eat and enjoy during the trip. So from the normal 3.5 hours roadtrip, it turned into a 5 hours eating trip.

By the time we reached our destination, we didn’t bother to check-in to our hotel first. Instead, our first stop (if you do not count the numerous stops we had during our journey) was Pak Su, a local seafood restaurant we visited quite some time ago and located on Jalan Beserah (on the Beserah beach. It is located just a stone throw away from Swiss Garden Resort & Spa). Sitting on the porch on the beach, listening to the calming waves and wind added extra zest to the food. We ordered one dozen of fresh Canadian Oyster, Stuffed Crab with Chilly sauce, and some other stuff.

The final price? RM 159 (That’s around USD 45). The Canadian Oyster is RM6.80 per piece (That’s USD 1.95) and the stuffed crab is a whopping RM55 (USD 15.70). Compare that price to the KL standard, you can’t get such great food at this price.

The next day, we took the buffet breakfast at the hotel, and went on for a stroll on the beach, letting the fine sand rub our feet, the breeze on caressing our face and into our hair, the sun taking our skins, and later the waves that wash off the sands on our feet. Yes, it was a romantic stroll and we walked for hours, picking up the beautiful stones, coral leaves and shells that were washed up onto the shore.

After that, we drove our car and went off for the hunt of good Keropok Lekor, a delicious Malay delicacy. We scouted for places but most of the shops were closed. Well, it was the Labor Day.

Finally, we found one on the other side of the street and we made a quick U-turn for it. RM1 for 5 pieces, and we bought 10 for RM2 (USD0.57) and continue our journey to check out other places. While eating and driving, we stopped at the Natural Batik Village, a big warehouse-type shop selling Batik and other stuff. Unfortunately for both of us, we couldn’t find anything that interest us, so we continued our journey. I would dare to conclude that Natural Batik Village is a good place for foreigners to find a really special Malaysian things such as Batik and other cultural artifacts. But for local like us, we just couldn’t find the things that pique our interests.

Anyway, our next stop: Lunch!

Since we are not familiar with the place and not sure which restaurant is good, we decided to drive along to road. I came up with the best scientific deduction on how to select a great restaurant: find a place where there are a lot of people visiting the joint, and that is pretty much a sure bet that they are serving good food. Yup, my scientific deduction did not disappoint us, and we found this place (I forgot about the name of the restaurant but it is along the Cherating). We ordered a Mixed Tom Yam soup, Chicken Paprik, and Nasi Goreng Pattaya (Pattaya Fried Rice). Price? A cool RM 15.90 with drinks (USD 4.54).

After lunch, we went back to the beach for a stroll again before our appointment with the masseurs. Yup, we got a spa package for two at a very attractive price: RM 100 per person (USD 28.57) for one hour session!

After the spa, we went back to the hotel room for some rest, and later in the evening before dinner, we went for another stroll on the beach to enjoy the evening sun and breeze.

Dinner is nothing special; we dined at the hotel because we felt lazy to drive out again in search for good food, and we didn’t want to visit Pak Su again.

The next morning, we woke up early to go for breakfast at the hotel restaurant and then we went for a final stroll on the beach before we check-out from the hotel.

In summary, this trip has provided both of us something we longed for a long long time: a clean break from everything. No one called us during this holiday break, no one contacted us regarding work, and we didn’t have to think about work at all. We just relax and enjoy, with plenty of good food and lots of rest.

That’s why I am feeling lazy at this moment, the first day of work after the holiday break. I will get over it soon and get back the momentum. But I hope the vacation was longer.

sailing into the seven sea

While reading Bunnywunny’s previous post about her cruise from Klang to Singapore, I was suddenly reminded of the cruise experience I had many years back.

It was a treat from my dad for us to cruise from Port Klang to the open sea. The cruise lasted about 3 days 2 nights, and my elder sister and I got the chance to join my mom and 2 aunties on the cruise. It was a new experience for me and I was very nervous about shipwreck, sea-sick, or something bizzare.

But it went well.

On the first night, I briskly walked into the casino and checked things out. I was only 15 that time, and I was clearly underaged to join the casino. Because of my mature face and big frame, no one even bothered to check me and I had been going into Genting’s casino for years prior to that. I was checking out the Blackjack table and noticing the sweat those players had because the dealer was having an exceptionally good hand.

While enjoying the battle on the Blackjack table, I noticed a very tall and fair lady standing beside me. She wasn’t paying any attention to me at all, and she was concentrating on the table. She was about 21 or 22 the most, and she was wearing a red dress, clutching a small shiny bag and wearing a red high heels. Then, something happened on the Blackjack table that amused her, and she smiled, and she brushed her hair to a side. I was just standing next to her, about 1 inch apart from her shoulder. The hair brushed my face, and I could smell the fragrance of her shampoo. Good, I thought, I like clean lady and she is definitely taking good care of herself.

I didn’t want to appear like a geek, so I went to another Blackjack table. But I was always looking at her. Suddenly, she was walking towards me, and she finally noticed me gawking at her. She smiled at me tenderly, and I almost wet myself because at such young age, I had no experience with women and she was the first grown up (an exceptionally pretty one also) to smile at me so sweet. My heart melted that instant, and my legs almost gave way.

I tried to act cool (and most probably the people around me noticed that I was a geek), and I tried all my best to concentrate on the table. Unfortunately, I failed miserably and I kept throwing glances at her. She noticed that, and again, she smiled at me.

Working up my courage and hoping for a romance on a cruise, or maybe giving out my virginity to such a pretty lady, I extended my hand, gave her my best smile, and said Hi. She took my hand, and she said Hi back.

To my horror, she wasn’t a she afterall. Her voice was deep and rough, and I finally saw the adam’s apple on her throat.

I panicked. I didn’t know what to do. Should I just run for my life or should I punch her … er… I mean him, and then run away? I didn’t know. I was lost.

Then, the genius in me came up with a way. I forced a smile (which I figured was more like a cry) and told him that my mom was calling me, so I had to go. And I fled the scene like the end of world.

Yes, this marks one sad moment in my life which I still remember vividly. That fucker ruined my teenage.

a shoot on assholes

Ah! The joy of festive season.

Recently we celebrated Deepavali and Hari Raya (sort of like new year for the Indian and Malay) in Malaysia. It was a long holiday (for me) and I was resting very well. SH, K, M and I went to Genting, the City of Entertainment, for a night as well! We had spent hours and hours talking at Starbucks, and at the end we didn’t have long enough time to draw big blood from Uncle Lim (the founder and owner of Genting).

We have won 10 cents.

But we spent on petrol, toll, and Starbucks (for a cool RM45.95 for 4 drinks).

Shit! No wonder Uncle Lim is one of the richest man in Malaysia.

Anyway, during this festive seasons, a lot of assholes were shooting up their firecrackers in the middle of the night (at around 4am). I was in deep sleep, and it was so difficult for me to get some peaceful and quiet sleep nowadays, and yet those assholes sent the firecrackers exploding everywhere. I woke up from those explosions and I saw Jackie and YunYun (my other two dogs) running round and round because they were afraid.

And I thought the Malaysia Government has banned firecrackers?

To be honest, during my childhood, we used to play firecrackers and it was very fun. But some assholes got cheap, so they bought small firecrackers and packed them into some tube, and light them up. It exploded and in many case, those asshole (or idiot) were holding the explosive tube and at the end, they blew their fingers off. Some were seriously injured.

If you’d ask me, I would say they deserve it. It’s good that those explosive tube got their fingers off because they wanted to play wit firecrackers that way. But our dear Government decided to protect the nation so they banned firecrackers once and for all. How about educating those stupid asses about the danger of packing the gun powder into a steel tube and exploding it near your house?

Anyway, it was a good rest for me, and those assholes will get their fair share of revenge from me during Chinese New Year *evil grins*

::: planning for vacation :::

Maria and I have been planning for some kind of vacation and hopefully we can make time for a short vacation. Nothing fancy, just a short trip in Malaysia. No, I won’t tell where first because I don’t want to jinx our vacation, but I can drop you a hint: its a beach resort, and its a place not a lot of people know of.
It has been a while since we have a vacation, and we definitely need our time off from the busy work schedule. Further to that, her father has been ill and she has been going back to Singapore on and off, and that is really putting a heavy toll on her. For me, I have been rushing to places, getting things done, and spending a lot of time working on plans, budgets, proposals, and all that. So we definitely deserve a break or something.
Below is my lame attempt to appear artistic during our last trip together: Phuket (before the tsunami).
