Yesterday we were a bit bored at night, so we went to SS2 to browse for some pDVD. Unfortunately, that place was really crowded and there were not many new selections. We then went to the shop in Uptown Damansara.
We stopped at the pDVD store that was located just two pDVD shops away from Starbucks. We took our time to browse for the latest titles, and the shopkeeper was a really polite and friendly dude. He introduced us some new releases and telling us which one was clear and which wasn’t. In Malaysia, there are 3 kinds of pDVD. pDVD9 is supposed to the best quality, pDVD5 is of lower quality, and no grade to those recorded in the cinema, giving you cinema view with a great view to the back of the head of the person sitting in front of the camera, and occasionally you get special sound effect such as laughing and if you are really lucky, farting.
Then he proceeded to intro some Hong Kong movie, and I told him that my girlfriend didn’t really understand Mandarin so we are not interested. So he started talking English to all of us, and that was fine with us.
After we selected 5 movies (and buy 5 free 1), we paid for our goods, and then the shopkeeper looked at us with his most sincere look, and said, “I love you for your support.”
I looked at Maria, and Maria looked back at me. We were amused with his sincereness but we thought it was funny nonetheless.
Before we left, I was contemplating if I should answer him, “You are welcome,” or “I love you too.”

‘p’ stand for pirated or porn leh? hehehe…
‘p’ stands for pirated and ‘pp’ stands for pirated-pirated
I miss SS2 - my old haunt. There wasn’t anything you couldn’t find there.
Yup, that’s our beloved SS2, and you can find anything you want there. Woohoo!
