Rant & Raves

Two days ago (November 23, 2005), a male colleage went on rage and start shooting around, just like the Shopping Mall Rampage in Tacoma, Washington. Some of my colleagues ran for cover in the room, and some fled the scene as soon as possible. I heard this admin screaming on top of her lung, yelling, “Run! Run for your life!” Me? I ran downstairs to smoke and took my breakfast. Luckily that crazy fella wasn’t using real bullet, but using his word. See, he got this tendency to talk really loud and he got a Anger Management problem. The incident started when he was trying to submit some kind of form into the customer’s website using the available form, but he couldn’t do it for whatsoever reasons. It has happened many times already since he has to submit those things every month. So getting frustrated, he called the Customer Service line and shouted at the other party for more than half and hour, trying to get the things posted onto the website. I think the other party wasn’t able to help him, so he got more and more frustrated, and he just yelled at her and then started to bang the table. All of us were afraid that he will go crazy and went to the pantry to grab a knife and start stabbing everyone in his path. In order to save our own ass, we fled the scene as soon as possible. Even the managers were hiding inside their rooms just to be save.

Furthermore, we can basically identify his mood on particular day. See, when he’s wearing his favourite yellow shirt and his favourite light green slacks, that means he’s on a bad day and he can go rampage at any time. He can even go berserk if you complement him. Unfortunately and true enough, on that particular day, he was wearing his yellow shirt and light green slack.

I heard that he has attended some kind of Anger Management Therapy and he was subscribed to some kind of medication, and I had to wonder what happened to those sessions he attended. Maybe the therapist went berserk with him also since cannot take his kind of punishing.

Today he’s wearing the yellow shirt and light green slack again (it seems like he got a lot of those, or he’s wearing it at least 3 times a week), so I better get out of the office as soon as possible.

I value my life a lot because I am not married yet, and there are still many things that I want to do.
