What? Another shot at the IT department? You must be very tired of all my ranting at the IT department and you must figured that I have something against those computer proficient guys…
Well, the problem is that our network is down again, and when we called the IT guys to fix it, they were telling me that they can only come on Wednesday (Nov 9, 2005). Because the Lotus Notes and other things required the VPN (Virtual Private Network) protocol to run, we were basically stranded with no network to use, and our colleagues in Kluang was calling us bad names for not replying the emails, update the Sales Order Management, the Sales Price List, and Customer Complaints. Worst of all, the M.D. was pushing us to submit our Monthly Sales Report to her, but we needed the network to obtain the data for the report!
I was so frustrated that I just went out to meet with customers. I guess our IT people don’t understand the meaning of efficiency.
